Meet the Founder
I grew up in a small town where opportunities were limited and expectations were even smaller. Basketball gave me a way forward. It taught me discipline, accountability, and how to compete when nothing is guaranteed.
I went on to play college basketball and later professionally in Europe. Along the way. I learned something important: talent alone doesn’t separate athletes — guidance does. The athletes who succeed usually have someone in their corner early on, helping them build skills, confidence, and habits that carry beyond the game.
I started the Academy to be that guide for athletes back home and in communities like mine—places full of potential but short on resources. This isn’t about chasing scholarships or highlights. It’s about developing athletes the right way and preparing them for whatever path they choose.

Our why:
Youth sports matter more than most people realize
They are one of the few places where young people learn how to work through failure, take feedback, lead others, and show up consistently. When done right, sports build confident, disciplined individuals. When done poorly or not invested in at all, they become another missed opportunity.
We believe early investment changes trajectories. Access to quality coaching, structure, and mentorship shouldn’t depend on zip code or family background. When communities invest in youth sports, they’re not just building better athletes, they’re building stronger people, families, and towns.
That’s why the Academy Sports Collective exists: to raise the standard of youth development and make high-level training, mentorship, and opportunity accessible in rural and underserved areas.
